An injury is by it's very nature not something that is planned. Unexpected things can bring on extra stress to one's already stressful life. Stress is not helpful to the healing process. Using your Will Power to organize your life can reduce the extra stress the injury brings, which will allow you to heal from it and move beyond it more quickly. Here are a few tips to consider:
* work smarter, not harder: manage your time wisely
* set your priorities: let unessential things fall by the wayside during this time and keep things in perspective
* ask for help: no one is an island
* set realistic goals: consecutive small steps will eventually get you there
* be patient with yourself and your body
* think positively and be optimistic: you will pull through!!
All these things take will power. The mind is a powerful thing. Believe you can get through this, and you will more easily be able to take the steps to reduce the stress caused by the unexpected injury to bring about healing.
